What not to do in the Casino

I am still amazed at the number of people who visit the casino and just throw their money in the first machine they come to. The other day I was playing video poker and this gentleman placed a $100 bill in the machine, then turn to me and ask "how to you play this"? I asked him if he knew how to play poker? He stated yes. I took the time to show him how to place his bet, how to select hold cards, how to draw new cards and how to cash out. He told me he got it and started playing. As he was playing, I noticed that every time he was dealt a pair he would always hold a high or face card. I asked him, "why are you holding the face card with a pair"? He immediately threw away the face card. I noticed that a lot of people play video poker like they play poker at home with their family and friends. I explained to him that the reason you hold a high card at home because in case you have a tied hand against an opponent at home then the person with the highest side card wins. I then told him that he has no opponent playing video poker. I explained that the objective is to get on of the top four payouts listed on the pay table. When you go to the casino, no matter what game you are playing, blackjack, craps, video poker, etc..., the rules are different in the casino. Take time to learn how to play, read the pay tables and observe others. http://www.bigcasinomoney.com/ offers free strategies on how to win at the casino. Please let us know about your experience.
